Why Your Company Needs a Vector Logo

Why Your Company Needs a Vector File Logo

Many small business owners don’t fully recognize the value of creating a company logo that reflects their business’s culture, behavior, and values. Logos serve as a visual clue to customers of what your business stands for and what you intend to do. Occasionally companies find that after their business grows, they need a new logo reflecting those changes. Regardless of why you need to create or update your logo, make sure that you receive it as a vector file.

If you have ever been disappointed by the quality of your logo when you try to use it in different applications, then you need to consider having your company’s logo converted to a vector file. Other file formats including JPEGs and GIFs become messy when you change sizes. If you try changing the image size, then the logo becomes pixelated and will not look its best.

Vector files, however, can be infinitely scaled to suit your needs allowing you to use the same file for the web, banners, letterheads and business cards. Regardless of the size, the logo remains clean and crisp leaving a positive impression on your potential customer.

The second advantage to vector files is that they can be laid on top of any color background since they have a transparent background. Stop for a moment and think about all the possibilities this opens up for your marketing. You can use your vectorized logo on top of different colored banners to reflect changing seasonal sales, and you can also use it on promotional items of different colors, or you could have it digitized and embroidered onto items of different colors.

If you do not have your logo in a vector file, then you often end up with a jagged border around your logo. This unsightly edge is especially noticeable when you are using the logo on a dark background. When you use a vector file, however, this border magically disappears giving your company’s materials a much more professional appearance.

Now that you know why you need your company logo in a vectorized format, the next thing to consider is hiring someone with the skills required to create it. That’s where we can help. At Affordable Digitizing, we will turn your logo into a vector file, at very reasonable prices.
